Founder & CEO
Dave founded Buckland Co. in 2008 to provide guidance and direction as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to businesses and entrepreneurs. For Dave, digital marketing is all about joy and creation. Since he was a little kid, he’s loved making things as awesome as possible. From the team and the clients, to the technology and the company commitment to being awesome, Buckland Co. is an amalgamation of all things that make him happy.
Before launching his consulting firm, Dave spent ten years at Burton Snowboards, where he advanced from an intern to director role within five years. Additionally, Dave spent seven years as COO at ZQuiet, where he oversaw the vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of operations, marketing, and customer service. Since then, he’s provided a single point of contact and a team with talents and qualifications to align with the unique needs of a variety of clients.
Dave believes he has a responsibility to make the world a place in which his children and grandchildren can flourish. As a committed 1% for the Planet member, Dave believes in doing business that extends beyond profit—and is proud to be an active player in solving the most pressing environmental issues of our time.

Rachel is enthusiastic about growing companies and loves when business owners are impacted in meaningful ways. In fact, she’d love to teach a class for small business owners on supplementing brick and mortar store revenue with ecommerce.
Before Buckland Co., Rachel cut her teeth at companies like Capitol Records, SiriusXM, Burton Snowboards, Dealer.com, and Cox Automotive. From growth and e-commerce strategy, to sales funnel optimization and business development, she enjoys breaking complicated or overwhelming strategies into digestible tasks that contribute to success.
Rachel appreciates the flexibility and personal growth opportunities that Buckland Co. provides, and is grateful for the opportunity to focus on self-betterment and personal reflection. A self-professed connector of people, she enjoys introducing individuals and businesses that might not have otherwise crossed paths.

Cara has seen it all: from production management at Burton Snowboards, to account management at Select Design, to graphic design for Keurig. In fact, she’ll proudly respond to a smattering of titles, whether it’s print nerd, working mother, entrepreneur, or, simply, graphic designer.
Cara’s day has many stages, parts, and responsibilities. Being part of Buckland Co. team not only allows her to feel fulfilled—it provides her the time to pursue her passions. She’s thankful to work for a company that truly supports balance and listens to the needs of its team members.
Cara is passionate about eliminating single use plastic from our lives. She believes that “getting out of your own way” is a productive, healthy exercise—and one that can bring great joy.
Tyler’s passion has always been marketing and advertising. While he manages the advertising team at Buckland Co., he’s heavily involved in day-to-day campaign management and optimization for various clients. From SEO and SEM, to talent development and client retention, Tyler balances people skills with an analytical mind.
Tyler loves his job because it’s extremely challenging. Each business has different hurdles, and learning and understanding their needs is rewarding. Because the digital space is ever-changing, Tyler is always learning and adapting. He also has the pleasure of working with the smartest people he knows—which makes things a little easier.
Before his time at Buckland Co., Tyler spent ten years working in several capacities for Dealer.com. His passion for cars extends beyond his professional experience, however; if he could, he’d teach a class on maintaining vintage BMW's.
Kierston proudly considers herself the Swiss Army knife of the West Coast hub. Drawing on her experiences at Dealer.com, Banfield Pet Hospital and Reynolds & Reynolds, she delivers a broad range of services, including social media management, email marketing, e-commerce support, and digital advertising to a variety of clients.
A driven, multi-dimensional leader, Kierston is dedicated to fostering a productive workplace culture of camaraderie, trust, creativity, and well-being. She appreciates the flexibility that comes with working at Buckland Co. and loves being able to learn and develop new skills. She’s also happy to be reunited with some all-stars from her previous workplace.
Michael has been creating things as long as he can remember. A designer by trade, Michael
has served in multiple roles
including illustrator and creative director
across the CPG
industry and the agency and magazine realms. And he’s worked for companies like Rolling
Stone, GQ, Gourmet, EatingWell, and Keurig Green Mountain.
Michael considers himself both a creative problem solver and an unapologetic design dork. He likes to remind people that technology is just another tool and believes in the fundamentals of design that may otherwise get overlooked in our time of rapid development.
Ultimately, Michael loves to turn things upside down and inside out to approach problems from new angles. As a nature lover, he supports a wide range of causes centered around protecting animals and the environment.
Alex loves working with a variety of different brands daily. He thinks it’s fascinating to see how each one addresses the same problem and dissect the successes and failures. Alex loves his job because he loves to be busy and productive. His background in real estate marketing, and his work on Keurig Green Mountain and ZQuiet have enabled him to develop project management, production artist, and graphic design expertise.
For Alex, building out brand refresh artwork builds mental fitness—and looking for ways to shave off inefficiencies is addictive. Alex is a firm believer in writing things down on paper, as it aids memory, promotes focus, and calms anxiety. While there are a lot of fantastic record-keeping apps out there, none of them have this effect.
For many years, Alex and his family have opened their home to high school exchange students from countries like China, Japan, Thailand, and Bhutan through Green Across the World, an environmental and cultural exchange program. The program has been beneficial to his family and the students involved, both culturally and through their environmental science curriculum, and is a great way to gain insight on our environmental impact.
